Every Spring, SCAIR hosts a Gathering of the Native Americans (GONA) for SCAIR Participants and their families.
The purpose of the GONA is to bring together parents, children and elders for educational training and activities, to learn traditional Native values and practices, and to network with other tribal members.
For the past two years, the Springtime GONA has been held at the Santee Lakes Recreational Preserve and has included guest speakers, trainings, indian education, cultural ceremony and Parent and Child Together (PACT) Activities.
In April, SCAIR hosted its annual Springtime Family Gathering of the Native Americans (GONA). The Springtime GONA aims to bring children, families and elders together to share in community and receive cultural education and career training. Click below to view the video!
